Every worship team is doing something well.  I promise you that.

But it's also a safe bet that every worship team has a few kinks in their system they'd like to get rid of.

Here's a list of five familiar problems that show up in worship teams, and some thoughts on how to overcome them.

Problem #1: Our worship team sounds hollow, and we need more people to fix it.

It's always a good pursuit to add more members to your worship team... but what if there aren't any?  What if you're in a bind on a Sunday when someone got sick at the last minute?  Simple solution: use worship pads to fill your worship team's sound in all the right places. You'll have a full sound no matter how many team members there are.

Problem #2: There's lots of dead-space in between our songs, and it gets awkward fast!

Dead space can distract your congregation quicker than just about anything else.  Solution?  Use a pad to continuously play, even once you're done with your song!  You can let the pad play by itself, or do some light playing on top of it.  Either way, you will kill the dead space and avoid the awkwardness!

Problem #3: Transitions from a song in one key to a song in another key sounds bad.

This is an easier solution than you may think!  All you need to do is have pads playing at the end of your song, and use an app that cross-fades between pads (such as OnSong) to fade into the pad sound/key that you're using for the next song.  You don't have to worry about making the key change sound good - pads will do it for you!

Problem #4: I find myself focusing on worship-service-details instead of being a worshiper.

It can be easy to get distracted by all the things that need to happen during a worship service.  Solution?  Use our great-sounding pads to add a musical safety-net of sorts to your team, so you become less distracted by hollow sound, dead space, choppy transitions, and more.  Pads not only help the congregation stay in the moment, they help you stay in the moment, too!

Problem #5: I lose confidence in my ability to lead worship when these other four things happen.

If you take action on the above four problems, I guarantee you will find a new backbone as you lead worship, and will gain confidence in ways you thought were only possible for other people but not yourself.

Be encouraged.  There are many worship teams who have these same problems as you.  But also be encouraged that there are simple, easy solutions to take action and kick the problems to the curb!
